Kingdom Rush is a tower defense game developed by Ironhide Game Studio and published by Armor Games, released as a free flash browser game on July 28, 2011, on the iPad on December 19, 2011, on Android in May 2013, and a Unity port in January 2014 via Steam. A sequel, Kingdom Rush: Frontiers, was released on June 6, 2013.

The third installment of the franchise, Kingdom Rush: Origins, was launched on November 20, 2014. The third installment is not available on PC.

The Unreal Engine is a game engine developed by Epic Games, first showcased in the 1998 first-person shooter game Unreal. It has been awarded by Guinness World Records as "the most successful video game engine".

The current release is Unreal Engine 4, designed for Microsoft's DirectX 11 and 12 (for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Windows RT); GNM (for PlayStation 4); OpenGL (for macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, Ouya and Windows XP[8]); Vulkan (for Android); Metal (for iOS); and JavaScript/WebGL (for HTML5 web browsers).

CryEngine is a game engine designed by the German game developer Crytek.

It has been used in all of their titles with the initial version being used in Far Cry, and continues to be updated to support new consoles and hardware for their games. It has also been used for many third-party games under Crytek's licensing scheme, including Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 and SNOW. Cloud Imperium Games initially used a heavily modified version of the engine for the games Star Citizen and Squadron 42, but have announced that they are switching to Amazon Lumberyard, a fork of CryEngine.

It was released for the PlayStation 4 on February 20, 2015. Set in an 1886 alternate history London, the game follows the legendary Knights of the Round Table as they battle to keep the world safe from half-breeds, such as werewolves and vampires, as well as fringe organisations rebelling against the government.
